The annual production of The HOLLY JOLLY HULLABALOO!, based on the grand tradition of British Panto, is a tradition with JANE also. It incorporates jokes for kids and adults. It is packed full of songs and dances and swirls various children's, adventure and horror stories together into a fun and frivolous tale.
Hansel and Gretel are hungry and lost in the forest. They search for the path back home, but they are not the only ones looking for a way out. The siblings cross paths with a band of wayward pirates, whose GPS (global pirating system) is in a huff, and of course Wickie the witch and (his/her??) band of Little Witches. H&G are captured and forced to eat pounds of wieners and cake and play video games all day long. The outcome looks bleak for the pair until they are rescued by the Pirates. |

Little Red Riding Hood |
Little Red Riding Hood told with a global warming message. Red sets off to Grandmama's house with a basket of "green" items. Along the way she's enticed by a Wolf, befriended by a gaseous Cow, frightened by a lonely Bee, saddened by a wistful Polar Bear, serenaded by a group of Pigs and lectured by a well known global warming expert!

Praise for Company |

From the SONDHEIM REVIEW: JANE a theater company and Corey Brunish have created a lush, crackling and appealing production. The audience filled every seat of the house and with good reason. Andrew Foster makes an ideal Bobby. Kelly Stewart is hysterically fast, flawless and hilarious. Melanie Shaw's charisma riveted the audience. Darren Hurley presented Sorry-Grateful with bittersweet wistfulness. Michael Mazzola's striking lighting supported... ...excellent orchestra. The sound quality was unimpeachable. This Company set a standard to which smaller companies should aspire. If this is the level at which Jane: a theatre company intends to produce its work, this reviewer will look forward to many more visits to Portland in the future.
Letter from an audience member:
My daughter and I just returned from seeing your marvelous production of COMPANY. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the show. Awesome acting, singing, orchestra--it was just great! We have seen so many shows at the Kennedy Center and in NYC on Broadway, and were absolutely delighted that your show was as high a caliber performance as what we are "used to" living back East for 26 years. Thank you so much for your efforts and commitment to live theater. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ~ Gratefully yours, T M
